I'm thinking that...
my life is shifting so fast, that I'm not sure I can keep up! But I love it!

A few projects finished...
I am so excited to blog about my latest finished projects. Here is the anthropologie inspired shower curtain for my girls bathroom. I have to give a huge shout out to my Mom for helping me with this curtain. Needless to say without her direction it would have ended up in a sad state. I imagine something held loosely together by safety pins and prayer. It was a very involved task and I admit I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started it (Mom did however). But with some persistence and a lot of patience on my Moms part we were able to pull it together. Originally I had wanted some dusty pink buttons for the pleats, but JoAnn's let me down and they didn't have ANYTHING that would look even remotely satisfactory. So I decided with the damask buttons. I mean can you ever really go wrong with damask? Nope!
The project started out with sewing two large panels together, then cutting each layer, cutting out the scallops, sewing on the itty bitty lace around each scallop, ruffling it then sewing it to the lower panel. Then an additional top panel that needed to be cut, scalloped, laced, pleated, hemmed, and sewn together. Whew!! Anyhow, it's up and my girls love it!! I have some hot pink towels I'm gonna frill up and add to the room and get rid of the ugly blue, but that's at least a couple days down the road. My other "big" project was getting my nightstand tables sanded and painted. They still need a few touch ups here and there but overall I'm pleasantly surprised at how they turned out. It's made our room feel so luxurious and airy. I'm really loving the green bowl I discovered after the pictures were taken. And since the batteries in my camera are dead these pics will just have to do and the green snack bowl will be immortalized into the cyber world. *sigh* (isn't it so cozy? Don't you just want to crawl right in with a good book??!!)
